Keeping the Peace in Urumqi

I bet that strom trooper outfit gets pretty hot in the summer time. Our guide told us that things are getting better in Urumqi, at least Beijing has made some changes to help the minorities. I was walking down the street when I noiticed the troopers coming my way. Since this was my first time to see such a sight I was just more than a little surprised. Forget shooting them in the face I told myself, so I waited until they passes me an then shot 'em in the back. The pole which just happened to be in the middle of the sidewalk I think
adds some interesting symbolism to the picture.
