Gyantse Fort - mountain view

I made the lonely trek toward the top of the castle hill, accompanied only by a mangy-looking "guardian" dog [below]. This was as high as I got, just above the castle gate, before I ran out of energy and oxygen. I also had a great view of this spectacular building from my nearby hotel.
