Had a very nice time at the Zhi Qing Paradise/Playground. Zhi Qing were the intellectual youth sent down to the country by Mao: www.chinadaily.com.cn/english/doc/2004-06/15/content_3395..., en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rusticated_Youth_of_China. Today they are in their dotage and for 2.5RMB can come here on a Saturday morning to have a cup of tea and hear an eclectic mix of folksong and various Chinese operas. The lady was very informative. I'll definitely be back.
