Renamed to commerate the former President Chiang Kai-shek in 1990, Zhongzheng is the oldest district in the city and the one in which Taipei was born. The district houses many of the government buildings as well as some famous cultural and heritage sites.

When staying in Taipei, most nights had some amazing sunsets but i feel that this was the best when staying. This was shot from the roof of the hotel and the sunset caused some amazing beams of pink light that shot off into the sky. I thought that the view from the hotel roof was pretty spectactular all round so whilst wanting to capture the sunset I also wanted to capture the whole view. This lead to the idea of creating my most ambitious post-production project yet. I created an HDR Panorama. The photo consists of 4 HDR photos merged together. And took some time. My main goal was to show the colours of the sunset whilst not siloutting the skyline. I initially tried to shortcut by merging two single capture panoramas as i have been working on my Taiwan album for quite a while, and having problems with my computer, but they wouldn't sync up correctly and looked mismatched. Eventually i took the plunge and after about another hour of tweaking and merging I had finished and am extremely pleased with the result. I have got the photo looking like how i saw the sunset and also reminded me of paitience when going through my photos.
