Record number of Chinese visitors in New Zealand

The series of Chinese people visiting New Zealand final month was a highest ever for a month of November, Statistics New Zealand pronounced upon Tuesday.

Asian visitors have been offsetting a slump in those entrance from Europe, it said.

Almost 15,000 people from China came for short-term visits in November, surpassing a previous high three years ago. Annual visitors from China surpassed 120,000.
